The rehabilitation of fully edentulous patients presents a complex challenge in contemporary implant dentistry, demanding a nuanced understanding of patient-specific needs and available treatment modalities. This lecture highlights the diverse array of options available for restoring oral function, aesthetics, and quality of life in fully edentulous patients. The transformative potential of implant-supported overdentures and fixed implant-supported prostheses is explored, highlighting their ability to enhance stability, comfort, and chewing efficiency while preserving bone structure and facial aesthetics. Moreover, the lecture delves into emerging technologies such as computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and the different variety of prosthetic materials. By comprehensively evaluating the spectrum of treatment options, an evidence-based, patient-centered approach is mandatory to achieve the long-term success of our rehabilitations.
