Prof. Mirjana Popovska graduated from Faculty of Dentistry, UC&M, Skopje, R Macedonia. In 1989 she started work at the Department of oral pathology and periodontology of the same University, where defended her science degrees (1991- Master of Dental Science, 2000 – Doctor of Dental Science –PhD, 2004 – Associate professor, 2014 – Professor). Prof. Popovska has also lectured in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,  Department of Oral medicine and Pathology – 2002 and 2003, at Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry, University in Belgrade, Serbia, 2012, at Dental Clinic Centre, Department for Periodontal Surgery, Ljubljana Slovenia 2015.

Author of  8 textbooks for student and editor of two textbooks designed for dentists.

Head of the III cycle-doctoral studies at the Faculty of Dentistry (from June 2011 to 2015).
Chief editor of the dental magazine – Info (from 2006-2011), Dental newsletter  (from 2011 to 2013), Vox dentarii (2013 and continues).
Member of the Executive Board of the Dental Chamber 2006-2010.
Member of the European Association of Oral Medicine 2003 and continues.
Prof. Popovska has won numerous national and international awards.
