Associate Professor at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry. Acquired PhD degree after successful public defense of a dissertation on topic “Planning prosthesis at distal unlimited partial edentulism”, Medical University, Faculty of Dental Medicine – Sofia.

Assoc. Prof. Uzunov has participation in 2 school appliances and 1 textbook. He has 58 publications in specialized scientific journals, research papers and reviews. He was a lead researcher in a research project part of the contest “Young Researcher 2004” and he was awarded the prize for the most successful scientific work of PhD students for the period 2003 – 2005 in the field of Dentistry. He was a participant in two research projects rated “High” by the Council of Medical Science – Sofia. He has delivered eleven lectures as part of continuing education programme of Bulgarian Dental Association as well as national and international congresses. He has 32 quotations in scientific papers. He has participated in 49 scientific congresses, symposia and conferences in Bulgaria and abroad.
