Indications, limitations and treatment time of treatment with DENT@ALIGN aligners. Motivational models. Importance of correct stripping application
Aligners are an innovative philosophy of “invisible” orthodontic appliances.
One of the main requirements for the orthodontic treatment of adults is the application of aesthetic “invisible” appliances, which do not disturb the social life of the patients.
The lecture aims to present the management of orthodontic treatment with DENT@LIGN aligners, characterized by a fully computer-assisted design manufacturing. The clinical and laboratory protocol, advantages, features and clinical outcomes are considered. Clinical cases are discussed.
The protocol includes preparation of diagnostic analysis on a virtual setup and laboratory guidelines for treatment conduction, with possibility of motivational models elaboration. This analysis assists clinician in the treatment planning and motivation of the patients. A necessary requirement for successful start and conduction of the orthodontic treatment is the compliance with indications for treatment with aligners.
The requirements for proper stripping application to ensure a place in the dental arch are presented to the audience.
The opportunities for digital transformation of plaster models into 3D data by scanning, allows development of a virtual archive and casts’ reproduction by CAD/CAM technology which are presented in the lecture. Thus, at any time, without time limit, the necessary models can be materialized. The unique feature of the clinical protocol is the elaboration of motivational models. Through them orthodontic treatment outcomes can be visualized and evaluated by the patient before the beginning of the treatment. Virtual analysis that we offer allows precise diagnostics, reduced clinical and laboratory time, optimal results monitoring.
The innovative approach motivates the patients, allows easier biomechanics, applicable by general dentists and correct problems without generalized loading of the dentition.
The system is applicable in patients with reduced but stabilized periodontal tissues. The results show preservation and even improvement of the periodontal condition complex after the orthodontic treatment.
Finally, the comment is aimed at highlighting the benefits in terms of patient, clinical work and management of dental practice. A rehabilitation of dentition is obtained, an ability to maintain a desired level of oral hygiene, which extends the functionality of the dentition. The clinical protocol is optimized and the clinical time – reduced.
